• If Matrikarak aspects or is placed in 10th from Atmakaraka, native will do business related to masses, lands, or will do something good for masses
• If Putrakaraka aspects 10th or sits in 10th, native will do something related to education, kids counseling
• If Gnatikaraka aspects 10th or sits in 10th, there will be immense hurdles while starting the career. 
• If Pitrikarak aspects the 10th house or sits in 10th from AK, then father or father figure will help native start the profession. 
• If Darakaraka is in 10th or aspects 10th from AK, then the spouse will act as a career starter for native. 

Rule of special position – 

For special events to happen you need planets in special positions. Sometimes there will be multiple planets aspecting or sitting in the 10th house, so you have to use the rule of special position (retro, exalted, debilitated) to find the strongest of aspects. 

Now let’s test this in a chart. 

In this chart, Mars is AK sitting with Sun and Venus who are BK and PK respectively.If Mars is the Atmakaraka (AK) and sits in Sagittarius, the person will pursue a career in the legal or teaching fields, as Sagittarius governs law and higher learning. 10th from Saggitarius is Virgo where Mercury Pitrikarak is sitting. 10th from AK is aspected by Retro Jupiter, Sun, Mars, Venus.

So it received many aspects. Now, let’s check back to rule 1, if AK aspects the 10th from AK, then its sureshot sign that person is going to rise high in career. Moreover, several aspects means a person will have more than just one profession. This is chart of Barack Obama who studied law from Harvard Law School and worked with many voting right cases. Note, the 10th from AK is the sign of Virgo which is the natural sign of a lawyer. He worked as a lawyer, teacher, author, and speaker, and ultimately became President of the United States of America. Mercury being Pitrikarak, shows blessings of ancestors in progressing in this career. Venus being Putrakarak aspecting 10th house shows wife’s wisdom played a key role in supporting his career.
